As a newbie to this addictive sport, I would like to extend my thanks to Si who test flew
my new TREX 600 Super Nitro Pro and trimmed it for me, and to Stan for helping me start
my first nitro and also to Mark (white van) who I thought was going to leg it with my new
heli with a West 50 in it (thanks Si for the additional outlay on top of the kit, only kidding).
And by the way, Si's son Mattew is an inspiration to us all at that age in the way he flys,
NO FEAR and confident with it. Great bunch of guys who have given me the confidence
to progress in this sport.
Thanks....

There is so much to learn, but the first thing I need to understand is how to set up a
West and run it in. Si has set it up initially but I have nearly emptied a gallon of fuel
already and wondered when additional tuning is required. Matt at Midland Helis thinks
I am mad buying a West and is looking forward to me rebuilding sooner rather than
latter.

Hi
I have just ordered a Honeybee King and am wondering if perhaps I may have bitten off a bit more than I can chew as an absolute beginner

There is a simulator included in the bundle so I guess I shall spend a lot of time with that before taking to the air

I would be grateful for any advice and tips from experienced flyers

Thanks
John

Hi All,
As stated above Im a begginer, never flown before.
I have an Esky Honey Bee ( I can hear the laughs now) I think I might be on the wrong forum for my problem as you all seem way more advancenced than I.

My problem is that I can't even hover the thing! Bought it new from Buzzflyer, spoke to them on the phone he helped me to set it up over the phone but no joy so I sent it back to them, they set it up, tested it and said its OK, but Im still struggling!
If I took it to my local model shop do you think they would test fly it to let me now if its OK or not, as I said Im very new to all this so I have no idea what to do next.
A good friend of mine has also tried to fly it, he's a non flyer as well but is very good on the old PC games etc, no idea if that would help!
Im in Blackpool by the way.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Andy...

Giro not holding

I have been out flying my TREX 450 today, it is fitted with aLogitech LGT2100T Gyro. One minute it is fine and rock steady the next it does like a piroette spins around and I have a job to control it. Also when leaving the floor most times I lift off into a perfect hover three or for feet off the ground no problems. The next time I try lifting off my TREX just wants to spin around and needs a lot of imput into the rudder to prevent this.I am definitely in the head lock mode as I can switch this on and off useing my gear switch on the Spektrum DX7. Once or twice now I have been in a steady hover at around 15 or 20 feet in front of me tail in and then she wants to just spin around, I had this problem once before and I found the tail gear was lose on the shaft letting it spin, this is not the case now as I have fitted a complete new tail assembley. Is it just me or do others have similar problems.

Binding new receiver

I have just purchased another Spektrum AR7000 receiver the insructions say to bind the receiver to the transmiter you have to put a link on the end of the three cable charging plug. can you tell me where the third cable goes to, black must be negative, red would be positive but where does the other brown wire connect to. This then connects the brown to the black cable.

Hello people a very not so green newbie here

I have a Raptor 30 which at present has futaba servo's etc but i wish to replace 4 of the 5 servo's and receiver with Spektrum,

My Issue is i wish to keep the Gy401 gyro & the S9254 servo which accompanies it,will there be any issues with the use of Spektrum & Futaba gear together ?

And are the connectors going to have to be changed on the 9254 so it can connect to the Spektrum receiver and if so where can i get said connectors ?

Many Thanks for any assistance given

Dave
