I don't remember you taking that shot.
But I think that hat suited me smilie

On a more serious note, I have suggested to Stan the man that if Midland are going to take weeks, then he is welcome to pop down the field with the machine and I / We can have a look over it and even set it up.

After all, it don't take long with a pitch gauge and care. smilie

That hat was slightly small though Si smilie smilie but the tie was a crowd stopper mate smilie

Re the set up, I was at Midland Helis on Friday talking to Trevor and I asked him how long the waiting list was for set up and he confirmed , yes it's 5 weeks so, I think it is a good idea that someone at the club would help him get it up IN THE AIR (Dirty Minds smilie )

One more thing, Trevor has said that you can still borrow his Aurora Si smilie smilie

See you on Sunday Weather permitting.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the support! lol smilie

Took my heli to midland last thursday and mat said it should be ready for this thursday. He didnt mention anything bout 5 weeks. If it isnt ready shall i collect it on thursday and bring it down?

I will be annoyed if he had no intention of having it ready for thursday! I could have spent more time on it myself rather than it sitting in there shop.

My insurance came through today! Im well excited!

Cheers

Stan

It only took them two weeks to set my helicopter up,but that was many years ago when dick was doing them.i know a guy that had his t rex set up by them in only an evening, noel did that one,but that was an indoor helicopter that was test flown in the shop.Anyway, what is a pitch gauge simon? i normally line my blades up against the horizon to check for pitch smilie

Were you there when we had a new guy, and we had his heli on the roof of a car?
He asked us what we were lining the pitch gauge up with... Mark said the horizon and the church smilie smilie .. With a big silly smile on his face so the guy knew he was joking I might add smilie

Stan(Quote)If it isnt ready shall i collect it on thursday and bring it down?
(/Quote)I would suggest you don't jump in and pick it up. I mean seeing as the field is a mud bath and the weather is rather unpleasant anyway, maybe leave it be for the next week, (if they have not got it finished).
I reckon a week late would be long enough to drop in and pick it up. IF!!! they have not started on it etc.

They will do a great job and seeing as it came from them all new, you really should allow them to confirm all is ok.

BUT, if you get cheesed off with a wait, I will sort it no probs.

ooo bugger, he has mentioned that several times. Very flattering that he would trust me with such a rare and precious model. I guess I simply would not want to take the risk of setting it all up on my tranny and something going wrong.
I would rather visit his flying site one day and have a little fly around to get a comparison of stablility and track to the Synergy.

I vaguely remember jamie mentioning that one i think, don't think i was there.I remember what a hurry i was in to get the heli set up so i could have a bash at hovering it.i had no simulator at all,and no previous experience,i also had no one to help me for a long time until jamie found me! the first time i hovered it,i remember thinking that i would never be able to fly it without the training under carriage fitted to the bottom,it was impossible.wrong. smilie

Ooooops, my fault smilie . when i asked them to set my raptor up (they didn't in the end) they said it was going to be a 5 week wait, that was because Noel was inundated with work. Anyway, well done That man Stan look forward to seeing you and your Sceadu at the field very soon matey.
