Yoh.
Cheap as chips at 39.95, we picked up this little twin rotor heli from Maplins.

A right laugh it is too. Clever design and only to be flown in flat calm conditions. We get about 8 mins per charge with 15 mins charge time.

I have just purchased a T REX 500 at the Weston ParK Model show price 250 from Inwood models from Huntington. Built it over the last week and had my first flight tonight at the local club field.
It flys like a dream on two 11 volt 2500 mil amp batterys. I got around 15 minutes of very sedate flying around the club field. compared to my T REX 450 it flys very smooth and stable. Can recomend the 500 to any one, parts appear to be quite cheap if you have a crash, so it won't break the bank.

My 1st trex crash :(

Hi all, i was having a great time cutting the grass with my trex and doing some good 3D on my 3rd attempt at it, but when i had it inverted in about 10-15mph wind, my stupid gyro played up and the tail violently swang around plus the wind didn't help. It then went in to a unplanned inverted circuit and then just went lower and lower then.......................BANG and i quickly hit throttle hold.

My brand new canopy, which i just finished spraying :(
Main Gear
1 set of servo gears and horns

Not bad for how bad the crash looked so i consider my self lucky.

Help needed

Hello having a problem.................... I am new to heli's so not quite sure if its me or the heli...

This problem happens everytime I have it out. I have it fully charged and everytime I try and fly it, it gets about 1 foot of the air (sometimes not even) and the main blades cut out. I know its not the receiver as I can still control the servo's. I can have her sitting on the verge of taking of and thats no problem but as soon as it trys to fly the main rotor dies.

I could be barking up the wrong tree but I am thinking 2 possible reasons, either I have a switch wrong on the transmitter, or I am doing something competly silly. Another reason I can think of is that with the training balls, its too heavy and overloading the motor causing it to cut out (tho the first day I had her out it was grand and I have seen it flying with the traing balls with no problems)

any help greatly appreciated
