I would like to say thanks to the Loughborough flying club for running todays flyin at their new site.
A real nice casual feel with lots of great flying.
Nice to see Duncan and his dad there really putting the Align through it's paces.
The wind did pick up some what and was straight on crowd, but it did not seam to effect the dudes out there giving it some.
I have some video footage that I will start to crunch up..
cheers to all
Couldn't agree more Simon.
Had a cracking day and nice to have met you, again.
Couldn't agree more, but we still had a good day and best of all no crashes that I know of Mike
I still have a couple more vids to pull off tape and shove online, but most are done.
I did not get a mass of vids, mainly due to there not being a large amount of different pilots flying and also time spent catching up with heli dudes at the event.
But we got some footage and have it online within 10 hours of the event closure .
If you read this within 7 days of them going on line (online Monday 9th September 5am) then click on the "new vids online" link at the top of every page in the yellow bar.
Other wise, go to the video vault and enter "Loughborough" in the location search.
Notice Duncans Align 600N decided to spit at our camera half way through the flight.. what are the odds eh .
The trex 450 is being flown by Mike Spink.
I have changed the name "unknown" to Mike Spink so cheers for that tosh.
Hey I wonder how good you might be at identifying pilots?
I put one on the site and put the pilot as Colin Mcginn. The video is called Colin_Mcginn.wmv in the video vault.
Just do a search in the pilot box for mcginn and it wil come up.
Who is this guy because Collin said it defo is not him. Any thoughts guys?
I have made an initial silly mistake of putting 2008 on some of the recent loughborough vids. WHOOPS .
All but one I have redone and the last one I will do next.
And I am a happy bunny as my Align 600n is back to mega. While flying it on Sunday at my field, my lad ran out of fuel while low inverted. Although he managed to flip it over it ran out of head speed, bent a ball joint, broke the struts and stripped some gears.. All tested and ready for the next flying time..
